John

Tandem Pilot

Paragliding found John 28 years ago, and he spent many years learning and flying all over South Africa, until eventually settling in the beautiful city of Cape Town.

Originally from Johannesburg, he spent many years flying Hartebeesport Dam, Rustenburg and other inland sites, as well as gaining experience in local and international paragliding competitions. He became involved in instruction, becoming based at the student friendly site Bambi in Mphumalanga, where he saw almost no people, flew whenever he wanted to, and learned to speak dog.

These days he can be found doing professional tandem flying in and around Cape Town, the last 6 years with Icarus Paragliding.

He loves his job.
