Course – Introduction to Paragliding (2 Days)

Do you find yourself craving more after your tandem flights? Do you want to become a qualified paragliding pilot? If so, join our Introduction to Paragliding course!

Over 6 months, this course will cover topics such as flight manoeuvres, procedures and safety, airflow, air law, aerodynamics, meteorology, thermal flying and ridge soaring. You will also focus on launching and landing your glider, as well as the various flight techniques used.

To receive your student licence through SAHPA (South African Hang gliding and Paragliding Association), you will need to take a practical and written test, and log at least 35 successful flights with your instructor. Sound daunting? Don’t worry! Our instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, and will get you up in the air in no time!
